The orchestra has a big number of vacancies for musicians this autum 2019. Join us on an exciting programme on the 250th anniversary of the death of Berlioz.

We always have vacancies for extra string and brass players. We are also currently looking for an extra bassoon player, a bass clarinet, timpani and percussion with their instrument, and two harp players.

We have a particularly interesting programme this term again:

Hector Berlioz

* Overture to Les Francs-juges

* Three pieces from La Damnation de Faust:

- Menuet des Follets

- Danse des Sylphes

- Marche Hongroise

* Symphonie Fantastique: An Episode in the

Life of an Artist.

Musicians who want to be involved are welcome to contact us.

We rehearse every Monday from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm at The Edinburgh Society of Musicians, 3 Belford Road, EH4 3BL.

Our next concert will take place at the Marchmont St Giles’ Parish Church on a Saturday night in December 2019 (date TBC).

We do not hold auditions: we prefer to give you the opportunity to join us for a few rehearsals and see for yourself if our orchestra is the right one for you.

Rehearsals take place on Monday evenings, in the beautiful surroundings of the Edinburgh Society of Musicians. The recital room where we practise features two Steinway B concert grand pianos.

If you are interested in joining us, please use our contact form for more information, or find us on Facebook or Twitter.
